Rolla Native Honored by Socket
Columbia, Mo.—Socket, a Missouri-based telephone and Internet provider, is proud to announce Rolla native Dustin Dunstedter as the recipient of Socket's You Make the Difference award. Each month, Socket employees nominate their co-workers for the award and then vote on one winner who best reflects Socket's Core Values and Beliefs.
Dunstedter joined Socket last July as a technical support representative. His duties involve troubleshooting customer issues, monitoring e-mail inquiries, handling escalated customer calls and assisting with training of new technical agents.
"Working at Socket has been hands-down the best work experience I've ever had," said Dunstedter. "This award is the result of the efforts of so many people here who have helped me learn with a smile and a bit of humor."
Dunstedter graduated from Rolla High School in 2002 and moved to Columbia to pursue a degree in history. After graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia, his experience working with computer technology and his ambition to help people solve their computer problems led him to Socket.
"Dustin is always willing to step up and take on an extra assignment," said Scott Dean, technical support supervisor. "He is friendly and professional with our customers and a pleasure to work with."
